MyWorldWeather App Reviews

Rather meager

iPhone4S, iOS 5.x: Performing a second installation, it worked ---------- iPhone4S, iOS 5.x: For such a powerful and worldwide organization, this is a rather small app. It always starts with Geneva, regardless whats your preferred city. It crashes, if you turn the iPhone in landscape mode. So you dont see any climatology.

Great App

This app differentiates from other weather apps because it uses authoritative information from National Meteorological Services in each country. The weather forecast is, therefore, more reliable at each location.

Taipei is not in china

As title, should be in Taiwan

Neat

It is really different and neat. a needed app!!! Fun

Simple but useful and credible

This app is basic but is a great source of world weather forecasts. This app gets forecast information from weather agencies from governments around the world. More credible than any third party forecast done from afar. It has a real easy interface to find the closest weather forecast station. Moreover, its free and ad free! Only wish for future versions would be to have current conditions for weather stations (from METAR observations for example).

Suggestion

Suggestion: Put local institutes alerts in the app via push notifications.

Needs more weather stations.

I asked the app to get the weather from all of weather stations within a 400km (249 mile) radius. I only got three cities, LA, San Diego, and Fresno. The NOAA has 3 weather stations within a 10 mile (16 km) radius of where I live. Since the WWIS is affiliated with the NOAA, there is no reason why this app cannot pull this data and display it. Especially considering that the NOAA makes this information publicly accessible and has guidance on how to get and interpret the data. They were nice enough to give you the option of Fahrenheit or Celsius. I would like to see statute miles as well. The US is not the only country that still uses miles. I have not yet traveled to other countries with this app, but looking a the map, most other countries need more weather stations reported.

Completely useless

A very basic weather app, hardly any information. Looks like programmed by a primary class student.
